Workplaces provide an ideal environment for supporting healthy practices.  Many workplaces already engage in healthy activities such as walking groups, sporting events and incidental promotions such as using the stairs instead of the lift.

Outdoor workers

People who work outdoors are generally exposed to the sun during the hottest part of the day and when the UV index is high to very high.

The Queensland Government Department of Industrial Relations and Employment provides information on Workplace Health and Safety legislation.

Tax deductibility

The Australian Taxation Office provides information which relates to some employees being able to claim the cost of sun protection items through their annual tax return.
